President Bola Tinubu has urged governors of the six North-East states to step up efforts in tackling terrorism and banditry, saying greater collaboration is needed to overcome the region’s security challenges.
Speaking while receiving political leaders from the North-East at the Presidential Villa, Tinubu said Nigeria’s economy has stabilized and pledged to sustain investments in infrastructure, social welfare and national security.
The delegation, led by Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, thanked the President for retaining Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2027 presidential election and reaffirmed the region’s support for the Tinubu administration.
