The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) has approved the elevation of 68 legal practitioners to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

The decision was taken at the committee’s plenary meeting in Abuja, chaired by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun.

The LPPC said all successful applicants must complete a mandatory induction programme before the conferment.

The committee also warned recipients against publishing congratulatory advertisements, saying the official swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for October 12, 2026.
