South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir has dismissed Central Bank Governor Johnny Ohisa in the latest leadership change within the government.

Kiir did not give a reason for the removal but appointed Addis Ababa Othow, a former central bank governor, as his replacement.

The move comes as South Sudan faces economic challenges, including declining oil revenues, cash shortages, high inflation and a weakening currency.
