Flying Eagles head coach Abdu Maikaba has promised an improved performance when Nigeria face hosts Côte d’Ivoire in today’s semi-finals of the WAFU B U-20 Championship.

The defending champions finished second in Group B after losing 2-0 to Burkina Faso and now face an Ivorian side that won all its group matches without conceding.

Maikaba said his team has identified its defensive mistakes and is determined to correct them ahead of the crucial encounter.
