Turkish club Trabzonspor have confirmed they are in negotiations to sign Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah following his departure from Liverpool at the end of last season.

The club said Salah is expected to arrive in Trabzon today to continue discussions over a free transfer, with details of his official unveiling to be announced later.

Salah leaves Liverpool after a trophy-laden nine-year spell, scoring 257 goals in 442 appearances.
