The Kwara State Government has commissioned six youth-friendly health centres across selected primary healthcare facilities to improve access to confidential and adolescent-responsive healthcare services.
The centres, supported by the Global Fund and implemented by Jhpiego, will provide safe spaces where young people can access health information and services without stigma or judgment.
Commissioning one of the centres at Ogele Primary Health Centre, the Executive Secretary of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Professor Nusirat Elelu, said trained personnel would help adolescents discuss sensitive health issues and make informed decisions about their future.
