The Lagos State Parking Authority, LASPA, says it will begin enforcing payment of parking fees against defaulting organisations and businesses by the end of September.

LASPA General Manager, Adebisi Adelabu, said businesses owed between 400 and 500 million naira in parking fees as of last year, adding that enforcement was delayed to allow more time for advocacy and compliance.

Adelabu said LASPA generated over one billion naira in its first full operating year and is targeting three times that amount in 2027.

She urged businesses to pay their parking dues, stressing that the requirement predates LASPA’s takeover of the responsibility from local governments.
