Nigeria’s Super Eagles will begin their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign against Madagascar at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo today.

Eric Chelle’s side must start strongly in Group L, which also includes Guinea-Bissau and co-hosts Tanzania.

With only one automatic qualification spot available, Nigeria cannot afford early setbacks.

Madagascar famously defeated Nigeria 2-0 at the 2019 AFCON, but the Super Eagles will target revenge and maximum points despite the absence of injured striker Victor Osimhen.

Kick-off is 5pm.
