The Federal Government says Nigerians yet to receive text messages for its ₦50,000 relief grant may still be selected, as payments are being made in phases and beneficiaries contacted in batches.

The National Emergency Relief and Stabilization Intervention said selected beneficiaries are drawn from the National Social Register and verified national identity records.

The government said recipients can check their eligibility through the USSD code of their payment provider, while successful beneficiaries must accept the offer before receiving the grant.

The government also warned Nigerians against paying anyone to secure the grant or speed up payment, describing such offers as fraudulent.
