The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released an extensive electoral timetable for the upcoming 2025 and 2026 elections, which includes the resumption of Continuous Voter Registration nationwide. 

INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu made the announcement during a consultative meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners in Abuja.

The voter registration process will kick off with online pre-registration on August 18, 2025, followed by in-person registration starting August 25, 2025.

Yakubu emphasized the importance of proactive implementation of election policies by Resident Electoral Commissioners, highlighting recent appointments to enhance the commission's capacity.
