The Oyo State Government has reaffirmed Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to transparency and public interest in managing government assets, dismissing allegations by the Senator Sharafadeen Alli Campaign Organization over the Cheshire Home land in Eleyele, Ibadan.

In a statement, the governor’s media aide, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, described the claims as misleading and speculative, insisting that decisions involving government land are guided by due process and the developmental needs of the state.

The government also defended its record on public infrastructure, urging political stakeholders to base their criticism on facts and evidence while maintaining that public assets belong to the people of Oyo State.
